• Voters will decide whether to continue the 1 mill tax and the half-cent tax for schools. It is not a tax increase because voters already approved the 1 mill in 2020 and the half-cent in 2015.  This vote is to continue both measures, the 1 mill for four years and the half-cent for another 10 years. 

 

• These two tax renewals are designed to keep quality teachers, keep students safe and keep improving facilities. 

 

• The 1 mill helps schools provide competitive salaries for teachers, additional positions, mental health services and enhanced technology. 

 

• The half-cent sales tax goes to improve and build facilities and add safety and technology equipment.

 

• A citizens watchdog committee tracks the income and expenditures and confirms that the district has spent the funds as promised.
